GhostWire Loader script description:

Publisher review:
GhostWire Loader allows you to load an external JPEG or SWF file into an area specified by the boundaries of the component instance. This Flash component allows you to load an external JPEG or SWF file into an area specified by the boundaries of the component instance. The main purpose of this component is to provide an easy means of loading external content and reszing it automatically to fit an area (specified by the boundaries of the component instance). The content can also be set to maintain its aspect ratio when resizing.

Features

Compatible with GhostWire ProgressBarThe GhostWire Loader component is fully compatible with the GhostWire ProgressBar (included in this product), which can be used to track the loading progress (as shown in the example above).

Dual-state Loading TextThe component takes into account the fact that there is usually a connection lag before the downloading process actually begins. During this connection phase, the Loader component will display the message specified by the 'connectText' property. Once a connection is established and downloading has actually commenced, the text that is displayed will switch to that specified by the 'loadText' property.

Maintain Aspect RatioThe component can maintain the aspect ratio of the loaded image when resizing the content (please see example above).

Prevent "Fall-through" MouseclicksOnce the content has been loaded, mouse clicks cannot fall through behind the image. This is to prevent UI controls that are hidden behind the image from being triggered accidentally by "fall-through" mouseclicks.

Timeout EventThe GhostWire Loader component has an 'onTimeout' event, which is triggered if it does not receive data from the server for a pre-determined amount of time (configurable via the 'timeout' property). This can occur, for example, if the requested file does not exist, or the server is too busy, or the user is not connected to the Internet.

Snap to PixelThe component snaps to pixel when published, ensuring that it looks crisp and sharp when the movie plays. Usually to achieve this, you need to ensure that you place your movieclips at integer coordinates (no decimal place) during authoring time.

This is not necessary with GhostWire components, which will automatically snap to pixel when published. For example, if the component was placed at x coordinate 20.2, when published it will be placed at x coordinate 20.0 instead. In addition, the component also resizes itself to integer widths and heights.
GhostWire Loader is a Flash script for Financial Modeling and Analysis scripts design by GhostWire Studios. It runs on following operating system: Windows / Linux / Mac OS.
